Qing Yang® manufactures 7 inch grinding wheels (180×3.0×22.2mm, T42/F60T4BF) for hardware distributors, angle grinder accessory importers, and OEM buyers requiring factory-direct supply at container-load scale. The T42 depressed-center geometry raises the grinding surface above the flange plane, providing clearance for flat-surface grinding on steel plate, weld seams, and structural profiles with a standard 7 inch angle grinder.
At 3.0mm thickness, the disc carries sufficient abrasive volume for sustained material removal — the correct choice for grinding applications where a cutting disc’s 1.6–2.0mm profile would flex under lateral load. The aluminum oxide abrasive formula is optimized for mild steel and stainless steel (inox) grinding, not concrete or masonry, which requires a different bond system entirely.

Product Advantages
T42 depressed-center geometry
The recessed hub raises the abrasive face 6–8mm above the backing flange, enabling flush grinding on flat steel surfaces without flange interference. Correct profile for weld grinding, surface preparation, and edge deburring on structural steel fabrications.
3.0mm thickness for sustained grinding
3.0mm provides the abrasive depth needed for high-contact-area grinding operations. Thinner profiles (1.6–2.0mm cutting discs) are designed for plunge cutting and will flex under the side loading typical of surface grinding passes.
Double fiberglass mesh reinforcement
Two-layer woven glass fiber matrix maintains disc integrity at full 8,500 RPM rated speed. Passes EN 12413 burst speed test at 1.5× rated operating speed (12,750 RPM test speed).
Aluminum oxide abrasive (A-grade, F60 grit)
Medium-grit formula for efficient stock removal on mild steel, carbon steel, and stainless steel. Produces a controlled surface finish suitable for pre-weld preparation and post-weld cleanup.
22.2mm universal arbor bore
Compatible with all 7 inch angle grinders accepting 180mm diameter wheels with 22.2mm (7/8 inch) spindle — the industry standard across European, Asian, and North American markets.

Grinding Applications
Weld seam grinding
The depressed center clears the disc flange from the workpiece surface, allowing full-face grinding contact on fillet welds and butt welds on structural steel plate. Standard 3.0mm depth of abrasive handles high-contact-load passes without wheel flex.
Surface preparation on steel fabrications
Removing mill scale, rust layer, and surface contamination from structural steel before coating or welding. F60 grit produces a surface profile compatible with most primer specifications.
Deburring and edge dressing
Cleaning up cut edges on angle iron, flat bar, and steel tube after cutting operations. The 7 inch diameter provides more grinding arc contact than a 4.5 inch disc, reducing passes needed on longer edge runs.
Stainless steel surface finishing
Post-weld cleanup on inox fabrications for food processing equipment, architectural metalwork, and pipe spools. The aluminum oxide formula does not introduce iron contamination to the stainless surface.
Note: This T42 grinding wheel is designed exclusively for metal grinding. Do not use on concrete, stone, or masonry — silicon carbide or diamond bond products are required for those materials.

Wholesale & OEM Supply
MOQ and container loading
100,000 pieces for standard private label orders. Mixed-SKU container loads accepted — combine 7 inch grinding wheels with 7 inch cutting discs, 4.5 inch, or 5 inch grinding wheels within a single FCL to reduce per-line minimum order pressure.
Custom packaging
Full OEM branding available: your logo on the disc blotter, custom inner retail box design, master carton with your barcode and shipping marks.
Formula adjustment
Bond hardness can be modified for specific applications. Harder bonds for light-pressure grinding on soft steel; softer bonds for aggressive stock removal on harder alloys.
Trade terms
FOB Ningbo / FOB Shanghai. 20ft and 40ft FCL. Production lead time 15–25 days after order confirmation and deposit.
Sample policy
Sample packs dispatched within 5 business days for pre-order quality verification. SGS material test report available on request.
Frequently Asked Questions
The T42 has a depressed center (recessed hub) that raises the abrasive face above the mounting flange, creating the clearance needed for flat-surface grinding without the flange contacting the workpiece. The T41 is a flat disc where both faces are flush with the flange — correct for plunge cutting but unable to make full-face grinding contact on a flat surface. Beyond geometry, a T42 grinding wheel at 3.0mm thickness is designed for lateral grinding loads; a T41 cutting disc at 1.6–2.0mm is designed for axial cutting loads only. Using a T41 cutting disc for grinding will cause rapid disc wear and lateral flex, which is a safety hazard.
Yes. The aluminum oxide abrasive and resin bond system in this wheel are iron-free and sulfur-free, meaning they will not introduce metallic contamination to the stainless surface during grinding. For architectural or food-grade stainless fabrications where cross-contamination causes rejection, we recommend dedicating a separate wheel set to stainless work to avoid any residual carbon steel particles from previous use on mild steel.
Standard MOQ is 100,000 pieces for full private label orders including custom blotter printing and branded export carton. Mixed-container loads combining 7 inch grinding wheels with other SKUs in the range are available within a single 40ft FCL. Standard production lead time is 15–25 days after order confirmation and deposit. Sample packs for pre-order quality verification are dispatched within 5 business days.
The 180×3.0×22.2mm T42 grinding wheel is rated Max 8,500 RPM and 80 m/s peripheral speed under EN 12413 certification. It is compatible with 7 inch angle grinders (1,200W–2,000W) with a 22.2mm (7/8 inch) spindle bore. The T42 depressed center requires an angle grinder equipped with a depressed-center guard (Type 27 guard) — not a flat cutting guard. Always verify that the grinder’s no-load RPM rating does not exceed 8,500 RPM before mounting.
